A Long time ago….
In a Stadium far far away…
Andy Dalton led the Bengals to the playoffs…
This Sunday marks the third game Andy Dalton will be called upon to lead the Cowboys to victory. His first call to action came when Dak Prescott suffered a season ending injury against the Giants. The first iteration of the Red Rifle went well. Dalton came in for an injured Prescott to lead the Cowboys to a win. However, in the next game, the offense struggled against the Cardinal’s only putting up ten points. Since then, Dalton has been disrespected and doubted in the media. So I ask you, will the Red Rifle get his revenge against the Washington Football Team?
The answer is yes.
To start off, the football team is dead last in the NFL’s offensive power rankings. This is good because the Cowboys defense is complete trash. The football team’s defense has also been poor falling to 29th in the power rankings. This is positive for Dalton and the Cowboys. It will give them a chance to get comfortable in the McCarthy system and put up some points. Not to mention, the Football Team lost their whole identity over the offseason, so I am generally not worried about this franchise.
As for the Cowboys, they had another full week of practice with Dalton at the helm. This is important because it will help Dalton form chemistry with his wide outs. Timing is a huge part of the passing game, so I cannot stress how important this will be. People also forget that Dalton has been a leader before. During his time with Cincinnati, he was able to take the Bengals of all teams to the playoffs, so I am not worried about his talent. Dalton also showed promise in crunch time by completing a comeback against the Giants. This is a good omen for the Cowboys, as they will be in many close game situations due to their poor defense.
For this game, I believe the key to victory will be holding on to the football. The Cowboys, specifically Zeke, had a terrible turnover performance last week. Dalton also turned the ball over on a questionable no pass interference call. This makes me believe that the Cowboys will focus on ball safety this week in practice. And if the Cowboys can be safe with the ball, they have the talent to win this game. CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup and Amari Cooper are all elite wide outs, and will be open all day against the football team. That is why I am taking the Cowboys ML -110. As always, good luck and fade me casually.
