What a weekend in sports history. The Big 10 returns, we have late games in college football again(these are what we call the bounce back games folks), and Khabib is back in action against a scrappy opponent. It’s so overwhelming I almost forgot about the Matlack Parlay!
Don’t you worry folks I am here and I’ve been viewing the lines, did I have the worst weekend in my gambling history last week? You betcha! I went 0-3 for the first time in the history of the Matlack Parlay, red LOST marks everywhere(for you DK users), an absolute bloodbath – I literally changed my sportsbook because of it. There is not seeing the board, 50 feet of shit, and then there is me but why do we fall? So we can pick ourselves back up and gamble on Saturdays!
2020 Week 6:
Honestly this is a tough week with the Big 10 coming back, I am only giving three picks and then am throwing out a bunch of cold takes with nothing backing them:
Florida State (+5) vs Louisville
These are two teams that have had very strange years. Florida State looked like they were ready for an all time collapse before playing Notre Dame tough and beating a very good UNC team. Louisville on the other hand has played every team tough and have lost to 3 top 25 opponents. The fact Louisville is favored by 5 is strange to me, so strange that I am hammering FSU.
Baylor vs Texas (-10)
Alright here is the thing, I really want Texas to be good. The burnt orange, Austin on gameday, it screams college football. Texas has screwed me already this year with their mediocre play but here is the thing. Baylor doesn’t get yards. They have averaged 304 per game against Texas’s 495 and that includes playing an awful Kansas team. I don’t normally do this but I am taking Texas to cover.
Virginia vs Miami (-13.5)
Call me a sucker but I still believe in Miami! They got the crap kicked out of them by Clemson but have looked good against average opponents this year and there is no team more average than Virginia who beat a bad Duke team and have lost to Wake and NC State by 17 pts each. Miami is good enough to do the same so take em to end the day.
LSU vs South Carolina (+5)
Cocks haven’t lost against the spread this year so why not?
Nebraska vs Ohio State (-26)
Michigan vs Minnesota (+3)
Penn State (-6.5) vs Indiana
Iowa (-3.5) vs Purdue
