Midday Parlay: NFL Week 14

Written by shadowhedging

December 13, 2020

Alright heathens it’s 2AM (I’ll explain later) so let’s just dive into it like it’s your backseat on prom night with your third choice date: perfunctorily. I present the Midday Parlay for NFL week 14.

Jaguars ML (+280) vs Titans

JUST HEAR ME OUT. Jacksonville has lost 4 out of their last 5 games by just 4 points or less. “Oh, Rudy, so why wouldn’t I just take them at +7?” Shut up, peasant. Let’s not forget that the last time out (at Tennessee) the Jaguars lost by only 3 when James Robinson tore up the Titans defense and outperformed his counterpart, Derrick Henry, on almost 10 fewer attempts. Call me a romantic, but don’t we all love a divisional underdog story? Grab that value with the Jags moneyline.

Buccaneers -7 (-110) vs Vikings

Tampa Bay has a much healthier squad coming into this matchup, which could make the difference. Dalvin Cook has a tough matchup against a niggardly (stop giggling read a book once in a while) TB run defense, whereas Tom Brady has all of his weapons with Chris Godwin and Mike Evans back to practicing in full (albeit against what has been a surprisingly decent pass defense in the second half of the season).

Chiefs -7 (-110) vs Dolphins

Dolphins are good this year, but the Chiefs are the Chiefs. -7 is a lock if you ask me.

Panthers – 3.5 (-110) vs Broncos

Can anyone get a read on either of these teams? Mike Davis (go cocks) will have a good matchup against a shoddy Denver run defense that has allowed the sixth-most yards per rush (4.7) since week 8.

Texans -2 (-105) vs Bears

Will Fuller V is still out for mainlining bull seed (that’s what I heard anyway), but it seems like the Bears are sticking with Mitch Trubisky this week. You can’t even blame him; that offense is an elevated train wreck. Say your farewells to Matt Nagy.

Giants ML (+130) vs Cardinals

Thank God for the Giants that they are playing the Cardinals when they are. New York’s defense has significantly improved over the course of the season (currently ranked 9th), and have a damn good CB-WR matchup according to PFF.

Cowboys -3 (-110) vs Bengals

Almost had to flip a coin for this one. (I’m explaining now) So, I write this series as late as I can Saturdays so I can include the most recent injury reports in my decisions, but seeing as though there are so many questionable players for tomorrow (6 total, with Zeke and Higgins in that spotlight), on top of the numerous pre-existing injuries for both teams, we have to just go with our guts. All things considered, I just don’t see the Bengals winning any given game for the remainder of the season.

You know the deal. Drop $10 on this alongside me and we may be blessed with $2200 (Vegas Odds).
